How Using Testimonials Can Change Your Business

The real estate business is tough business these days, and you have to do whatever you can to be seen and to make a difference to your potential clients. They want to know that you can be trusted, and that you're not one of these fly by night "flash in a pan" real estate investors or Realtors that decided to come into the business in 2005. With all of the marketing that is out there, bombarding mailboxes and email addresses, you must take the initiative to do something different.

I've been using video testimonials in my marketing for a while now. I discovered it as I was reading my monthly marketing newsletter from a very well known Marketing Guru. It hit me like a ton of bricks, and I thought to myself "Oh My Gosh!! that is a Splendid idea!" So I immediately started to ask my happy clients to just say a kind 15 or 20 second video clip. I explain to them that I'll be using their video on my website. Most of the time, they don't have any problem at all. If they do, it's only because they're afraid of the video camera or don't know what to say. If that's the case, then I help them out a little by giving them some ideas and maybe even showing them some of my other video testimonials.

Once I have the video testimonial recorded, I quickly run to the office, make any necessary edits, and upload it to you YouTube as well as my website. It's really a fantastic way to brag on yourself without bragging yourself (if you know what I mean). The power of someone else giving their personal statement shows credit worthiness and gets positive results. Your clients will be impressed, and the video testimonial just may be what you need to close the deal.
